We are seeking a field support specialist who will provide highly visible customer support by installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing linear accelerators and imaging systems. The role requires a strong technical background, customer focus, and the ability to work on-site with clients.ResponsibilitiesProvide site installation of linear accelerators and imaging systems and oversee necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment.Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.Support field duties that include hardware, software, PCs, networking, wireless installs, and upgrades.Ensure customer equipment operates properly per technical documentation and guidelines.Demonstrate equipment operation and specifications per Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP).Advise customers on ordering spare parts or on service requests such as emergency and contractual services.Guide customers on locating Customer Technical Bulletins and their importance.Input detailed records of installation and upgrade work into company information systems.Maintain a high degree of professionalism and safety per VMS guidelines and customer regulations.Perform parts inventory and ordering for assigned installations.Maintain technical documentation regarding product characteristics and development to improve installation efficiency.Report via FSRs, timesheets, expense reports, etc. to ensure accurate statistical data on customer-oriented activities.Use escalating procedures and request technical assistance when necessary in a timely manner.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent with 2‑4 years of related experience, or an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related program (preferred).Knowledge and professional experience with electronic and electromechanical engineering and RF‑energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.Proficiency with test equipment used for verification and calibration of electronic equipment.Proximity to a major airport.Basic networking skills to integrate the machine onto the customer server.Professional technical experience with PC‑based systems.Customer‑focused attitude.Articulate interpersonal communication skills.Fluency in English, written and spoken.How You Will Stand OutExperience with RF‑energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.Advanced knowledge of networks and networking techniques.Basic computer usage and debugging skills.Basic understanding of imaging systems.Desire to build a career and develop robust skill sets.Travel & VehicleAbility to travel for 10 days and have 4 days off throughout the year.
