Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, flexible hours)9 Month Contract to HireCompensation: $36 - 52 / hourOverview We are seeking an Electronic Hardware Engineer to join a fast-paced, multidisciplinary product development team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the full product lifecycle—from concept through prototyping, testing, and manufacturing. You will work on a wide range of projects supporting both large enterprise clients and emerging startups, developing innovative and manufacturable electronic solutions.Key Responsibilities Design and develop electronic hardware systems from concept through productionPerform schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred)Build, solder, assemble, and debug prototype hardware and systemsConduct testing and validation using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab equipmentTake ownership of prototype development, including inspection, troubleshooting, and iteration of designsCreate block diagrams, circuit concepts, and technical visualizations to support design discussions and decision-makingDevelop test plans, product specifications, and clear documentation for internal teams and clientsAnalyze test data and present results in a clear, organized format (e.g., graphs, reports)Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and industrial design teams, including working with 3D PCB CAD dataSupport full lifecycle development, adapting to new tools, technologies, and technical challenges as neededSelect components with consideration for cost, availability, and performance requirementsDesign and work with both analog and digital circuitry, including embedded systems (8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers)Contribute to the development of multi-layer PCBs, including designs with controlled impedanceInterface with manufacturing partners by preparing fabrication packages and ensuring designs are production-readyCommunicate design intent, approach, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersQualifications (Required) U.S. Citizenship (required due to project requirements)Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field3–6+ years of product development experienceStrong hands-on experience with electronics prototyping, soldering, and debuggingExperience with both analog and digital circuit designProficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium preferred)Experience with embedded microcontrollers (8-, 16-, and 32-bit)Familiarity with STM32 and/or Microchip platformsExperience designing multi-layer PCBs with controlled impedanceAbility to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimetersStrong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly40% design and CAD work40% hands-on prototyping and lab testing20% customer interaction and team collaborationThis is a highly collaborative, hands-on environment where engineers are involved in both design and build.
