Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest engineering talent to help us deliver cuttingedge technology for missioncritical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most.In this role, our team is looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer II who will execute Hardware Board Design development activities from concept through production, working on projects that include secure processing systems, advanced FPGA solutions, highspeed network interfaces, display technologies, and electronics designed for extreme environments. You will help drive the design and development of advanced embedded hardware used across undersea, airborne, land, and space platforms. This role is critical in delivering reliable, highperformance boardlevel solutions that support Mercury's mission of enabling trusted, secure, and rugged systems for national defense.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop board-level digital circuits and modules from concept through production, ensuring designs meet system and customer requirementsCoordinate embedded hardware development activities for compute modules, signalprocessing systems, and highspeed interface boardsDesign and implement high-speed digital interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, DDR SDRAM, SATA, USB, HD-SDI, LVDS using cutting-edge technology from Intel, Microchip, Xilinx, Altera, NVIDIA, Broadcom, TIContribute to design quality through peer reviews and verification practicesCollaborate with manufacturing to address boardbuild issues and contributing to DFM, DFA, and DFT improvementsCreate detailed schematics using tools such as Cadence DEHDL (Concept) and collaborate with CAD/SI teams on PCB layoutRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalentTypically requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in board-level hardware design, manufacturing, or sustaining engineeringExperience designing embedded digital hardware products incorporating microprocessors, FPGAs, or network switch technologiesExperience with component and system level troubleshooting for digital, analog, and power circuitsProficiency in electronic circuit design, schematic capture, and understanding of highspeed digital signal integrity fundamentalsExport ComplianceThis position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations.
