In this role, you will play a critical part in the research, design, development, and testing of high-performance server motherboards and related products. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to deliver robust, competitive, and high-quality board designs.The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-driven, and passionate about developing best-in-class server products with outstanding performance and reliability.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for schematic capture, PCB layout review, BOM generation, debugging, and testing of server motherboards, backplanes, and add-on cardsModify and enhance existing designs to improve performance, quality, and reliability of server productsExecute Design Verification Testing (DVT) using oscilloscopes and other lab equipmentCollaborate with BIOS, firmware, validation, and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design and quality issues at an early stageEnsure products meet engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectationsCreate comprehensive technical documentation, including product specifications, layout guidelines, test procedures, and manufacturing handoff materialsSupport smooth product transfer to manufacturing, provide strong technical support to contract manufacturers and production teams during sample and mass production stagesOffer technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the teamPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master's degree is a plus5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design, with a strong focus on x86 server motherboardsIn-depth knowledge of digital, analog, and power circuit design, high-speed PCB layout, and signal integritySolid understanding of Intel architecture, Windows, and Linux operating systemsProven experience with oscilloscopes and standard laboratory test equipmentStrong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex hardware issuesExcellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environmentSelf-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic settingExperience with Linux shell scripting and automated testing is a plusSalary Range$148,000 - $165,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
