About Us

We are an AS9100D registered corporation and provide a full service 73000 sq. ft. facility that includes rapid prototype pilot and production runs assembly welding spotwelding CNC machining painting and silk screen printing. Our business is strategically positioned for growth and we are seeking exceptionally talented individuals to join our team.

Position Summary - CNC Punch Operator

Pinnacle Precision Sheet Metal is currently seeking a CNC punch operator. The candidate will determine and analyze documentation to determine setup procedure punching sequence & dimensional locations for punch machine that will meet configuration of finished part. Understand tolerance requirements and the use of measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers and gages.

Duties and Responsibilities

Before starting work review the work order and make sure that all prior processes are signed off and completed

Maintain basic time keeping and job records on computer database

Create the first part and bring it to your supervisor for approval

Check material thickness and part size for conformance to design

Set up and operate the CNC punch machine

Punch cut shape and form material to design

Mounts aligns secures tooling & attachments to machine

Loads control media & tapes into machine control console or enter commands to retrieve preprogrammed machine instructions

Loads & secures blanks into machine monitors display observes & listens to machine operations to detect malfunctions

Adjusts speed or change tooling when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions

Review the first part using the CAD Computer Aided Design software & laser machine if required.

Double check holes and spacing with pins to measure conformance to design

Sharpen and adjust punches and dies

Measures and inspects finished parts for conformance to design

Uses measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers & gages

Records and notifies supervisor of any non-conformances

Creates a last part and brings it to the supervisor for approval

Maintains a clean working area

Performs preventative maintenance on machine as directed

Follows all safety rules and reports any safety concerns

Demonstrates self-motivation and maintains a steady pace

Maintains a good attitude with management & coworkers

Help as needed in all areas of the Manufacturing Dept.

Cross train as needed in other departments

Lifting parts up to 50lbs. or less may be required

Qualifications

3 years prior experience manufacturing components within the Aerospace industry is desired.

Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Ability to read and understand drawings schematics blueprints work instructions and use standard machine shop tools.

Knowledge of basic math

Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

English proficiency is required.

Ability to interact effectively with supervision management and customer representatives.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Ability to work overtime as required.
