Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardscape Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing and finishing outdoor hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape elements. Your energy and precision will help bring outdoor visions to life, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and layout of hardscape projects by reading blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely to install stone, brick, concrete, and other materials.
- Prepare surfaces by grading, excavating, and setting forms for concrete pouring or masonry work.
- Install various hardscape features including pavers, retaining walls, steps, and decorative elements with precision.
- Support the team with tasks such as caulking, sealing joints, finishing concrete surfaces, and applying stucco or plaster finishes.
- Collaborate with supervisors on project timelines, inspect work for quality assurance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly throughout each project phase.
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and construction safety practices.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry techniques including tile laying and brickwork, as well as carpentry skills such as trim carpentry and door hanging.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, bending, and climbing.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in hardscape installation projects.
