Harris & Associates and PGH Wong are the joint-venture team working for the California High Speed Rail Authority to deliver the first 29-mile segment of this historic project—which has become a model for success across the United States.
Handover Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Handover Oversight Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of the handover process for design-build projects. This includes developing and managing the handover plan, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that all deliverables are completed prior to handover.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
+ Coordinate with stakeholders on the scheduling of handover activities, including inspections and walkthroughs.
+ Participate in inspections and walkthroughs to ensure that all deliverables are complete and that the project is ready for handover.
+ Coordinate updates to the Handover Oversight Plan in accordance with the PCM Manual, CMM, and Book 3 Part B General Provisions.
+ Facilitate with the Handover Oversight Manager to provide written notification to the DB contractor of any items that require correction.
+ Schedule subsequent inspections with the DB contractor and stakeholders after corrections are made.
+ Confirm that photographs are taken on every inspection and area to be handed over.
+ Confirm that handover activities follow the requirements of Substantial Completion and Final Acceptance under the PCM Manual, CMM, and Book 3 Part B General Provisions.
+ Manage the Record of Decision (ROD) form and process.
Skills:
+ Understands general principles of transit systems design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
+ Articulate processes and manage progress against defined milestones.
+ Organized data management for effective tracking log management.
+ Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
+ Exercise judgment and creativity in making decisions.
+ Prepare comprehensive reports and correspondence.
+ Effectively manage time.
+ Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, CMS, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet.
Qualifications and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
+ 3+ years as a project team member with experience in administration, design, construction, or construction management.
+ Valid California Class C driver's license.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $70K-$92K. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate
