Responsibilities


  • Provide expert hair styling, haircutting, and grooming services tailored to each client's preferences and needs
  • Apply color theory principles for coloring services, including highlights, balayage, and corrective color work
  • Use salon software systems like Fresha to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
  • Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sterilizing equipment, and adhering to health regulations
  • Offer exceptional customer service by listening attentively, communicating clearly, and ensuring clients feel valued and comfortable
  • Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing check-ins/check-outs, and upselling retail products like hair care
  • Mentor junior team members or assistants to foster a collaborative learning environment
Skills


  • Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, blow-drying, curling, and straightening
  • Experience with barbering tools such as straight razors and knowledge of traditional grooming techniques
  • Strong understanding of color theory for safe and effective coloring services
  • Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and team members effectively
  • Ability to upsell retail products through retail math strategies while maintaining genuine customer relationships
  • Deep understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
  • Competence in retail sales techniques combined with a friendly approach to enhance client experience
