Position Summary
The HAB Crew Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing designated habilitation crews, worksites, and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality vocational training and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position provides leadership, training, quality assurance, scheduling oversight, and operational support to ensure contractual obligations, customer expectations, safety standards, and program objectives are consistently met. The Supervisor serves as a resource to trainers, consumers, customers, and internal departments while promoting consumer success, staff development, and continuous program improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee assigned habilitation crews and worksites to ensure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Develop, review, and maintain Site at a Glance (SAAG) documents and work schedules for assigned sites.
Train, coach, and support Crew Trainers and backup trainers to ensure compliance with customer expectations and program standards.
Conduct regular quality assurance visits to monitor productivity, quality, safety, and consumer support.
Review staffing assignments and coordinate scheduling adjustments to ensure adequate coverage.
Monitor and ensure timely completion of required documentation, reports, and training records.
Assist trainers with troubleshooting consumer, staff, vehicle, equipment, safety, and operational issues.
Collaborate with Case Management, Human Resources, Operations, Safety, and other departments to support program success.
Provide transportation support and serve as a backup Crew Trainer when needed.
Supervise assigned staff, promote professional development, and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Maintain CARF compliance and support organizational safety initiatives.
Foster positive customer relationships and address concerns or service needs promptly.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years of supervisory, training, vocational services, or related experience.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Valid California Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to safely transport consumers and staff as needed.
Strong leadership, coaching, and staff development skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing operational needs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience supervising vocational, habilitation, workforce development, or community-based service programs.
Knowledge of CARF standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience with contract services, quality assurance, and customer relations.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Experience developing training materials, schedules, and performance improvement plans.
Schedule & Compensation
Monday-Friday (On-Site)
7:00am – 4:30pm (40 hrs./wk.)
Hourly Range: $22.50 to $27.50 per hour
Required to use a personal vehicle to travel between work sites.
DHE will also pay the standard IRS mileage reimbursement rate (currently at 72.5 cents) if a candidate from the Antelope Valley is selected. This rate will cover miles driven from the employee's home to DHE's SCV office. The site supervisor will have a DH van at the SCV office to use for transit to and from sites in the SCV.
If a candidate from the SCV is selected, no mileage reimbursement from home to office will be offered. However, that individual will also have a van for use from the SCV office to and from the SCV sites.
