Shape precision parts that power construction — right here in Columbia, SC

Join Husqvarna Construction as a Gantry Mill Machinist in our Tool Room and spend your day transforming steel blade cores into precision components. You’ll plan and execute milling, drilling, reaming, and boring operations to exacting blueprint and routing specifications — and you’ll own quality from first cut to final inspection.

Your day-to-day

  • Set up Haas Gantry Milling machines and workholding fixtures to meet part and routing requirements.
  • Select and install cutting tools; write and edit basic CNC programs (G/M code) for efficient, accurate machining.
  • Machine steel blade cores to precise blueprint tolerances, verifying dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
  • Run in-process and final quality checks; identify defects and adjust offsets, tooling, or programs to correct conditions.
  • Care for your equipment and space — perform basic maintenance, clean machines/fixtures, and keep floors and walls in order.

Note: Responsibilities may expand beyond these tasks as business needs evolve and management assigns additional duties.
