We are seeking a Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer Lead with strong experience in configuration and integration of the Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter applications. The role involves development, production support, and maintenance of the BillingCenter application, along with working on end-to-end software delivery activities across the project lifecycle. The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyze requirements and support system enhancements within an insurance domain environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and integrate Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter applications
  • Provide development, production support, and maintenance for the BillingCenter application
  • Analyze client requirements through discussions with functional users, consultants, and product owners
  • Review system capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints to assess feasibility of requested changes
  • Design and write SQL queries for application and data needs
  • Work on SOAP/RESTful web services development and related integration components (XML, XSD, messaging, plugins)
  • Support estimation activities, requirement analysis, use case reviews, test plan reviews, and project planning
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance
  • Use Agile methodology and support code release management processes
  • Work with version control and CI/CD tools for code management and deployments
  • Collaborate with end users to analyze complex business problems in existing systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline
  • Extensive experience with configuration and integration of Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter
  • Experience in development, production support, and maintenance of BillingCenter applications
  • Strong understanding of out-of-the-box features of PolicyCenter and BillingCenter
  • Experience with version control and deployment tools such as GitHub and Jenkins
  • Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps
  • Experience using TortoiseSVN or similar source control tools
  • Strong experience in SQL query design
  • Experience working in Agile environments and CI/CD practices
  • Strong understanding of SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Exposure to insurance domain, particularly Property & Casualty insurance
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and gather requirements effectively
  • Ability to debug complex issues and suggest performance/process improvements
  • Experience with Insurance Application Architecture (IAA) model
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members.
