Required: PhD or equivalent in a relevant field Program OverviewThe Guidance College (GC) Visiting Research Fellowship is a competitive, short-term academic appointment designed to advance high-quality research in the fields of Islamic Studies, Islamic Education, and Islamic Finance.This fellowship aims to attract distinguished scholars and emerging researchers who are committed to producing impactful, peer-reviewed research while contributing to the intellectual and educational mission of Guidance College.Fellows will engage in research, teaching, and scholarly dissemination, while also contributing to GC's global academic visibility through conferences, webinars, and thought leadership. Fellowship Benefits
Fixed stipend: USD $6,000 - $10,000 (based on experience, scope, and deliverables) Institutional affiliation with Guidance College Title: Visiting Research Fellow, Guidance College Opportunity to teach and engage with students Promotion through GC platforms (website, webinars, social media) Editorial and academic support
Additional Incentive
$500 upon publication of first peer-reviewed journal article $1,000 bonus for participation in the NACIF Conference (subject to active involvement):

Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesFellows are expected to complete the following during their appointment:
Submit 1-2 articles to peer-reviewed journals (Scopus indexed) Produce research aligned with GC priority areas:
Islamic finance and economics Islamic education and pedagogy Classical and contemporary Islamic studies
Present at least one paper at a recognized academic conference Represent Guidance College as an affiliated scholar
Teach one semester-long course (online) in the fellow's area of expertise
Deliver 1-2 webinars as part of GC's webinar series
Produce regular blog articles and updates for publication on:
GC website and newsletter Social media platforms
Examples include:
Research summaries Opinion pieces on contemporary issues Educational insights Conference reflections
Eligibility CriteriaApplicants should meet the following:
PhD or equivalent in a relevant field (exceptional candidates with strong publication records may be considered) Demonstrated record of:
Academic research and publications Teaching experience (preferred)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong communication skills in English
Priority will be given to candidates with:
Active research projects Experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals Interdisciplinary or applied research focus
