POSITION SUMMARY
The Guest Services Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service and concession services to all Pelican Bay Aquatics Center guests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers as needed with outstanding customer service
- Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine
- Operate the POS software efficiently & effectively
- Perform basic mathematical computations
- Balance drawer and manage daily income
- Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner
- Clean dining and concession areas
- Assist in preparing and serving food items
- Fill condiment containers
- Assist in unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas, and place them in designated areas when needed
- Will be asked to cook/prepare food items
- Take and record temperature of food to ensure proper temperature controls in the transportation of food
- Assist in party rentals
- Guest check-in, party supplies, and set-up cleaning of cabanas and shelters
- Alert management immediately for the following incidents:
• Suspicious acting persons
• Intoxicated individuals
• Adults with no children, etc.
- Alert management immediately regarding mistakes or adjustments to the cash drawer
- Additional tasks as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must have or be willing to obtain Safe Serve Certification
- Food Handlers Card preferred
- Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer is preferred
- Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons
- One year of customer service experience with general public preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally lift, pull, push, and/or move heavy items
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution
- Work is outside and can be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditions and temperatures exceeding 100
- Minimal duties are performed in direct sunlight
