Role Overview

We are seeking an A/V Technician responsible for delivering high-quality audio-visual support. This role focuses on live events, high-profile meetings, conference rooms, and the overall A/V technology footprint. The position serves as an operational resource for daily A/V service delivery, including event support, incident response, system maintenance, and conference room readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support live in-person and broadcast events, operating professional presentation hardware such as video switchers, audio mixers, and PTZ cameras.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for enterprise event A/V technologies, including QSC, Yamaha, Vizrt, Ross, Barco, Blackmagic, Cisco, and Logitech.
  • Deliver audio and microphone support for C-Suite level executive meetings and events.
  • Manage daily operations for conference rooms, studios, Zoom Rooms, and other collaboration technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve A/V incidents involving devices, DSPs, CPUs, cameras, microphones, and displays.
  • Perform fleet-wide room certification, readiness checks, and regular functionality testing.
  • Maintain A/V systems by ensuring firmware and software are current.
  • Manage, triage, and resolve A/V incidents and service requests using corporate ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Jira, ensuring strong ticket hygiene and SLA monitoring.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Audio/Visual technologies, with an emphasis on event support in a corporate setting.
  • Hands-on expertise with conferencing technologies (Zoom/Teams), DSPs, and audio and video control systems.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with experience interacting with C-Suite executives.
  • A solid understanding of A/V signal flow, acoustic principles, and IP networking fundamentals.
  • Effective documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with broadcast technologies, encoders, NDI/SRT workflows, or advanced production tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS platforms, particularly in relation to A/V technologies.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $20.00 and $26.00 per hour paid weekly on a W2. We offer contractor benefits a la carte as well.
