Sr. File Transmit Analyst

Max Pay Rate: $46/hr

LOCATION: Hybrid on in office Tuesday-Thursday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa or Denver, Colorado

WORKING DAYS/HOURS-8 Hours / 5 Days a week (40 Hour Work week with On-call rotations) with planned off-hours work

Job Description:

The Senior File Transmit Analyst is an experienced individual contributor within IT Infrastructure responsible for the reliable, secure operation of enterprise file transmission services. This role independently executes production support activities, resolves complex incidents, and contributes to operational improvements while escalating the most critical issues to Lead-level support.

Responsibilities

  • Support the stability and day-to-day operation of enterprise file transmission and managed file transfer (MFT) services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex file transmission incidents and failures
  • Monitor, validate, and recover inbound and outbound file transmissions to internal systems and external partners
  • Support onboarding of new file transmission partners, interfaces, and data flows
  • Perform analysis to identify root causes and contribute to corrective actions and service improvements
  • Implement approved production changes to file transmission workflows following change management controls
  • Maintain and enhance runbooks, operational documentation, and standard procedures
  • Apply vendor software fixes, patches, and upgrades in accordance with established enterprise standards, ensuring system stability, security, and compliance
  • Complete compliance actions and audit findings within established timelines, ensuring adherence to enterprise policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing activities, validating the recoverability of file transfer services and partner connectivity in accordance with defined RPO/RTO objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and automation
  • Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure compliant and secure data exchange
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours support rotations as required

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in file transmission, middleware, or IT infrastructure / production support roles
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise or production file transfer services
  • Working knowledge of secure file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2)
  • Experience with managed file transfer platforms IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Connect:Direct, Progress MoveIT, or equivalent
  • Experience troubleshooting file transfer issues, integration errors, and operational failures
  • Foundational understanding of encryption, authentication, and certificate/key management concepts (PGP/GPG, SSL/TLS, SSH)
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment requiring three days per week in the office
  • Participation in on-call, weekend, or after-hours support rotations
  • Support of time-sensitive, business-critical production systems
