Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Service Technician Location: Miami, FL Compensation: $30$35 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: MondayFriday Employment Type: Direct Hire Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Manager / Director Overview Lingo Staffing is seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Miami. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting ground support equipment such as aircraft tugs, belt loaders, ground power units, air conditioning units, and refueling vehicles.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in diagnosing and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance inspections on GSE. Experience with Ground Support Equipment is a requirement.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Troubleshoot equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Conduct safety and operational compliance inspections.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and service work.
Clean, organize, and maintain shop areas, tools, parts, and supplies.
Order and install replacement parts as needed.
Coordinate with management regarding maintenance schedules and test results.
Work onsite at customer locations when required.
Provide guidance and occasional training to junior technicians.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance or repair.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and organization skills.
Effective communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work may take place outdoors, around heavy machinery, and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods, bend, stretch, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to visually inspect and service equipment.
