Position Specific Description

Look no further than Generation Repair Services - we are committed to providing high-quality, refurbished repairs of wind turbine and solar mechanical-electrical components including but not limited to power converters, pitch controllers, solar inverters, and other electrical components. If you have aspirations to work with a world class team of certified technicians and engineers in a state of the art, 165,000 square foot facility, then Generation Repair Services is the place for you.

This position performs duties related to the disassembly, repair, testing, and assembly of Wind Turbine and Solar electrical and electronic components, including power conversion systems, solar inverters, and control systems.

Under Direct Supervision:

  • Performs semi-skilled, diversified repair and assembly of electrical and electronic components for wind turbine and solar technology units
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and tests power electronics including IGBT modules, low-voltage boards, converter assemblies, and solar inverter components
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electrical test equipment, and diagnostic instrumentation
  • Assists in testing and validating assembled electronic and inverter units on the test bench to verify performance and safety compliance
  • Works from schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and blueprints
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Background in electronics, electrical systems, solar, or related technical field

Job Overview

This position performs duties related to the troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of Wind Turbine technology electronic and mechanical components. Individuals are capable of performing at least three different electronic repairs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs duties related to troubleshooting, repairing and testing of Wind Turbine technology electronic and mechanical components
  • Uses a variety of light and heavy hand and power tools, meggers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and tests control circuits, power supplies, and other electrical components
  • Works from simple drawings, blueprints, or sketches
  • Travels to various sites to support maintenance and repair activities as required
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 0+ years
  • Valid Drivers License (Non-CDL)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
