Position Summary:
The Group Sales Representative is responsible for selling and planning events. Primary sales efforts are focused across a variety of channels, including Corporate, Educational, Non-Profit, and social events.
Your Role:
- Responsible for selling and servicing events, including menu planning, agenda setting, contract review, and facilitating internal and external communications before, during, and after events to ensure a high level of service.
- Generate leads and convert them into confirmed bookings; consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
- Meet with guests, conduct facility tours, and participate in industry and community events to promote facilities and services.
- Lead weekly BEO meetings to ensure accurate event details are communicated to all departments.
- Interact with clients on-site and maintain strong relationships.
- Complete weekly sales reports and distribute them to the leadership team.
- Manage all event spaces, assigning each group appropriately.
- Develop and execute a successful marketing plan.
- Grow group sales revenue through outreach and marketing efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of recent inquiries in the system.
- Proactively follow up with prospects and existing groups to ensure accuracy, strengthen relationships, and secure future business.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high guest satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company's sales network.
- Host tours and maintain strong guest relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of events.
- Analyze sales data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.
- Monitor and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Maintains reasonable, regular attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Your Skills:
- Proven experience in a food and beverage role
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage industry trends and best practices
- Financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills
- Familiarity with relevant technology and point of sale systems.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Desirable requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Managerial experience in a family entertainment center and/or food and beverage setting preferred.
