The Opportunity

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

This role sits within Abbott’s LAA (Left Atrial Appendage) Management Franchise, focused on driving sustainable franchise growth through best‑in‑class downstream execution and strong upstream pipeline development.

The LAA Management Franchise Group Marketing Manager is the global commercial and upstream marketing owner for the LAA Management portfolio and serves as the Global Launch Owner for Amulet 360. This individual is the core franchise leader, responsible for shaping global strategy from early upstream development through launch execution and long‑term lifecycle management.

This is a highly visible leadership role on a lean, high‑impact global team. Success requires comfort working with ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and moving fluidly between strategy and hands‑on execution.

This position is based on site in Plymouth, MN or Austin, TX within Abbott’s Electrophysiology Division.

What You’ll Work On

Franchise & Commercial Marketing Leadership

  • Own and drive the global LAA Management franchise marketing strategy, including share growth, procedure adoption, and revenue performance.
  • Serve as the global LAA Management product and therapy expert, including market size, competitive dynamics, unmet customer needs, and product differentiation.
  • Lead the global multichannel marketing plan and quarterly planning process.
  • Identify and address barriers to growth across key global regions.

Upstream Marketing & Pipeline Ownership

  • Lead upstream marketing for current and future LAA Management solutions.
  • Translate customer insights into product requirements and portfolio strategy.
  • Partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to guide development decisions.

Global Launch Ownership – Amulet 360

  • Serve as Global Launch Owner with end‑to‑end launch accountability.
  • Lead value proposition, messaging, and launch readiness activities.
  • Define success metrics and drive post‑launch optimization.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Team Development

  • Prepared to lead and develop a small, high‑performing global team.
  • Act as the single‑threaded global marketing leader for the LAA Management franchise.
  • Thrive in a lean organization, balancing strategy with hands‑on execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in product marketing, product management, or upstream marketing.
  • Experience supporting global product launches.
  • Medical device experience required; cardiovascular or electrophysiology preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 – $258,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
