Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Group Leader for their Lockport, NY location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations and adjust plans as needed
  • Drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance (SPQRCE focus)
  • Lead teams, manage performance, resolve conflict, and drive accountability
  • Oversee production, quality inspections, problem-solving, and built in quality initiatives
  • Manage change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
 
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of managerial experience
  • Experience leading people, solving complex problems, and making decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-management skills
  • Basic computer skills (email, Word, typing)
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends
  • Military background is a plus
  • Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement (CIP), TIP
  • Automotive or manufacturing experience
  • Union environment supervision
  • Supply Chain or Quality experience
  • Built in Quality initiatives, DFSS/Red X certification
  • Knowledge of timekeeping systems
