Position Summary Group Leader, F&N Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedics Instiute (OHJOI) Full Time Position Summary Assists the Food Service Supervisor and/or Manager with oversight of the daily operations of patient and non-patient services, including daily operational activities of the department, assuring that all quality and standards are met. Essential Functions • Schedules and trains staff, reports cash transactions, prepares cash deposits, compiles patient menus and special needs, setup and checking of patient tray line and opening and closing of the department. • Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner, directs catering and doctor's lounge service. • Communicates proper information regarding any patient or non-patient needs to peers, staff and Food Service Supervisor or Manager. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions • Participates in monthly department QA/QI and all related in-services. • Aids Food Service Supervisor or Manager in development of in-services to improve quality in designated areas. • Ensures that proper portion controls, tray delivery standards, café service standards are followed by staff. • Aware of Food Borne Illness prevention and sanitation requirements and assures compliance within department. • Follows all universal precautions as they apply to food services. Education/Training High School graduate or equivalent required. Licensure/Certification None. Experience Three (3) years previous food service experience.
