The Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion in Ashburn, VA is seeking a part-time Group Fitness Coordinator to join our team of passionate, inspiring health pros.

As Fitness Coordinator, youll report to the Fitness Director and collaborate to develop and deliver fitness-related direct member programs and services.
Responsibilities:
- Working in collaboration with the Fitness Director, you will create, maintain, and develop the group exercise program.
- Recruit and retain members through group exercise programs and workshops.
- Evaluate the instructors performance. Make recommendations as needed.
- Communicate regularly with the instructors regarding class schedule and the goings-on around the facility.
- Teach a minimum of 2 classes each week to establish and maintain credibility with members and staff.
- Ensure that group exercise areas are in first-class condition at all times, including the proper amount of necessary equipment, cleanliness, and maintenance of equipment, floors, walls, etc.
- Communicate with housekeeping and facilities personnel to inform them of any issues.
- Maintain the group exercise monthly schedule.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by remaining current with industry trends and acquiring necessary continuing education credits for certification.
Qualifications:
- Ability to teach a variety of group fitness classes.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong customer service skills.
- Competent in using apps and technology required to get the job done.
- Ability to multi-task, be a self-starter, and be well organized.
- Ability to make and execute departmental decisions keeping the Centers best interest at hand while doing so.
- Ability to learn and use various database systems.
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- Maintain current First Aid and CPR/AED.
- Maintain national Group Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.).
- Previous experience leading Group fitness classes preferred.
- Personal Training certification/experience a plus.
