Our Group Benefits New Business Department provides case oversight and support by assuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of group application submissions to respective insurance carriers.
As a Group Associate Case Manager, you will play a foundational role in the new business submission process by reviewing, preparing, and submitting group applications and supporting documentation. This role is designed for individuals looking to build knowledge in group benefits and underwriting processes while working closely with agents, carriers, and internal teams.
What Our Group Associate Case Managers Do:
Review and Prepare: Receive and review group insurance and tax documents for completeness; determine group eligibility based on location, business type, group size, and coverage requested
Submit and Coordinate:Submit completed cases to carriers for underwriting approval; enter and track case information while facilitating communication between agents and underwriting to resolve questions and ensure timely progress
Ensure Accuracy and Support the Process:Apply carrier guidelines and deadlines, use appropriate forms, assist with census audits and affiliate submissions, and build strong relationships with agents and carrier partners
What We Are Looking For:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in the insurance industry
Ability to learn and retain detailed information of carriers’ underwriting guidelines, waiting periods, and other matters related to new case submission processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy along with compliance of deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work collaboratively and build cooperation with others
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer services skills; ability to secure support and cooperation with others
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel); knowledge of databases is desired
