ROLE OVERVIEW
Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with frequent Saturday work. Hours may vary with weather and customer demand.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for ensuring daily maintenance of the plant and yard is completed. • Responsible for routine and daily housekeeping duties to ensure a clean plant and yard. • Safely and properly maintain lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. • Shovel excess material away from crusher screen or wash plant areas. • May operate small powered hand tools. • Lifting, carrying, and holding material, tools, and supplies. • Help with daily errands as needed, deliver parts and items between Knife River locations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum educational experience or other relevant job requirements. • Safety first attitude required. • Ability to pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug screen. • Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
• Basic knowledge of plant operation, conveyor systems, and maintenance. • Experience working around plants and or rock crushers. • Must have good mechanical troubleshooting and communication skills. • Need positive attitude and the ability to work well with others and follow directions. • Equipment operation skills helpful. • Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours, day and night.
