Full-time Job Announcement Position: Groundskeeper (Elbert) Location: Elbert Campus Department: Economic Development & Elbert Campus Reports to: Vice President for Economic Development & Elbert Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate ground maintenance work with contractors; • Review work and sign monthly receiving report for services; • Ensure that the grass is mowed, clippings removed, areas trimmed, leaves removed, sidewalks edged, shrubbery pruned, weeds removed from beds, grass fertilized, trash removed, and parking lots and curbs cleaned. • Plant and maintain campus shrubs and ornamentals in accordance with the master landscape plan. • Patrol grounds daily and pick up and dispose of any trash in the immediate areas of the buildings, parking lots, and perimeters. • Clean all sidewalks each week. • Empty all outside trash receptacles when necessary and ensure that trash in dumpsters has been picked up as scheduled by the assigned sanitation department. • Inspect roofs, clear roof drains and gutters and downspouts. • Clean all curb areas once per week. • Secure buildings and alarm systems. • Assist with maintenance and cleaning of buildings during inclement weather or when needed. • Maintain Mechanical and Electrical Rooms. • Assist with other staff projects. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education grounds and landscaping services.
