Position Summary

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community grounds and common areas. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors by ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.

The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing excellent support to the onsite team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, breezeways, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Remove trash, debris, and litter from the property on a daily basis.
• Assist with landscaping duties, lawn care, and general exterior upkeep.
• Perform power washing of sidewalks, breezeways, and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Support the maintenance team with basic tasks and community projects.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartment homes by removing trash and performing light cleaning.
• Monitor the property for safety concerns and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Help ensure the community remains attractive, clean, and inviting at all times.

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high community standards.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, janitorial, or general labor experience.
• Experience working in apartment communities or property management environments.
• Familiarity with landscaping equipment and basic property maintenance practices.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and standing throughout the workday.
• Regular interaction with residents, vendors, and onsite staff.
• Fast-paced apartment community environment.
