Lindquist Memorial Parks & Cemeteries is seeking a Grounds Maintenance & Irrigation Technician whose primary responsibility is diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining sprinkler and irrigation systems. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on irrigation experience who also enjoys outdoor grounds maintenance and landscaping.
If you have experience troubleshooting sprinkler systems, replacing valves, repairing broken lines, adjusting sprinkler heads, programming irrigation timers, and ensuring proper water coverage, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair sprinkler and irrigation systems (primary responsibility).
Troubleshoot leaks, broken pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and controllers.
Program and adjust irrigation timers for seasonal watering schedules.
Perform preventative maintenance on irrigation systems.
Monitor water usage and ensure efficient irrigation coverage.
Mow, edge, trim, and maintain cemetery grounds.
Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscaped areas.
Operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely.
Perform seasonal cleanup and assist with snow removal when needed.
Maintain a clean, respectful, and professional appearance throughout the cemetery.
Qualifications
Required: Previous experience repairing and maintaining sprinkler and irrigation systems.
Ability to diagnose and repair irrigation components independently.
Landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
$18.00 per hour
