Groundskeeper / Landscaping Team Member —Immediate Hiring
Position Overview
Join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and beautiful campus year-round. This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you'll perform landscaping, maintenance, and winter snow removal in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect grounds to ensure safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards
Remove litter and debris from lawns, walkways, and common areas
Perform landscaping tasks: mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and weeding
Handle seasonal work like leaf removal and general upkeep
Provide lawn care: fertilizing, watering, and turf maintenance
Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and garden beds
Keep flowerbeds neat and weed-free
Operate landscaping tools safely (mowers, trimmers, blowers)
Assist with large campus landscaping projects
Support winter operations: snow and ice removal (on-call required)
Apply fertilizers with a licensed applicator
Follow safety procedures and maintain equipment
Complete tasks efficiently with high-quality results
Required Qualifications
Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
Comfortable working in all weather (heat, cold, rain, snow)
Skilled in operating landscaping equipment safely
Detail-oriented with pride in maintaining outdoor spaces
Reliable, punctual, and consistent
Willing to be on-call for winter snow removal
Preferred Qualifications
Landscaping, gardening, or turf management experience
Experience on team-based or large-site projects
Knowledge of fertilization and weed control
Strong work ethic and ability to follow safety guidelines
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
On-call during winter for snow and ice events

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
