About You

As a groomer, you will play an important role in pets lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. We believe that grooming plays a critical role in a pets health and the human-animal bond. Our groomers take pride in not only their outstanding skills and compassion but also their client communication and customer service.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Previous experience as a professional groomer required
  • Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and coat care techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims
  • Safely and humanely handle pets of varying sizes, breeds, temperaments, and coat types
  • Report any abnormal presentation of pets in the care of the hospital or grooming salon to the attending veterinarian and technical staff
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming grooming area
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members

Groomer Salary Our groomers earn a base hourly rate starting at $19/hour, based on experience, skill level, and location. In addition to hourly pay, groomers are eligible for commission, which is calculated as a percentage of the grooming services they provide. Commission rates are negotiable and performance-based, meaning that base compensation may increase with factors such as service volume, quality of work, and client retention.
