Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Grinder-Shop Helper for a metal fabrication client in NE Portland. This is a hands-on labor role supporting daily fabrication shop operations.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $22-$25/hour DOE
Shift: Swing Shift - 2:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Support fabrication shop operations with general labor tasks
Support welders with grinding
Assist with material handling, staging, and shop organization
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
Support shop staff with tasks as directed
Required Qualifications
1+ years of grinding experience with a 4" hand grinder.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent Monday-Friday schedule
Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced shop environment

Work Environment
This role is performed in an industrial fabrication shop environment. Work involves exposure to machinery, metal fabrication equipment, and varying shop conditions. PPE and safety compliance are required at all times.
