Grinder Production A - 2nd Shift (DSC)
Description
Job Description: • Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread, and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work. • Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types of grinders. • Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours, and threads. • Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads. • Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels. • Holds work to required tolerances. • Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests, or blocks.
Tools & Equipment Used
All types of grinders, machinists hand tools, precision measuring instruments.
Qualifications
Experience & Other Requirements
• Three years of production grinding experience including setup.
