Experience required
Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience with a variety of cutting tools and grinding.
Purpose of Position
CNC and Manual Grind Specialist with a minimum of five (5) years of precision grinder experience preferred. The Grind Specialist will set up and operate various semi-complex to complex grinding machines. Grind parts according to the blueprint specification while following standard operating procedures.
Knowledge in running Robotics is a plus.
Description of Job Duties
- Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines, and technology.
- Read Blueprints.
- Use inspection gages and Indicators.
- Hold tight tolerances +/-.0001
- Pay close attention to detail and quality.
- Responsible to load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over and maintain multiple machines.
- Running multiple grinders and different processes might be required.
- Actively communicate with the related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
- Perform primary maintenance on assigned equipment. Assist and guide the maintenance team in performing repairs if
needed.
- Edit programs for CNC-controlled grinders.
- Always maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the assigned area.
- Responsible for achieving established cycle time efficiencies and machine utilization.
- Must be pleasant to work with as well as willing to multi-task and change duties frequently.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Manager.
