The student assistant will need to be self-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent communication and customer service skill. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Plant care and monitoring,
• Data collection and analyses,
• Greenhouse preventative maintenance and daily upkeep,
• Provide Customer Service to community via tours,
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Projected Hours: up to 15 hrs/wk

Required Qualifications

• TEAM minded: greenhouse employees frequently work collectively on a task despite different class schedules.
• Good communication and diligent record keeping are essential.
• Ability to work independently or with others as needed to complete the task.
• GPA higher than 3.0
• Must be enrolled and/or registered for classes.

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Demands

The greenhouse can be a hot, humid, and sunny environment. Some plants, equipment, and supplies can be heavy any may require assistance. SAFETY is paramount. Greenhouse employees must at ALL TIMES follow all relevant state/federal laws and Angelo State Safety Policies.
