OPEN POSITIONS:
- ASSISTANT SWIM TEAM COACH (2)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS):
- Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
- Minimum of three years of experience in all levels of competitive swim participation at the scholastic, collegiate or club level.
- Previous swim team coaching experience required.
- Experience with Meet and Team Manager Software is preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
- Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
- Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
- LIFEGUARDS: Must have a valid lifeguard certification (within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
SCHEDULED SHIFTS:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6:30pm - 8:30pm (flexibility with days)
