We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team. Job Summary
BJC HealthCare is seeking an experienced and highly creative Graphic Designer to support enterprise-wide marketing, branding, recruitment advertising, patient engagement campaigns, and digital communications initiatives. This fully remote role offers an exciting opportunity to work within one of the nation’s leading healthcare organizations while contributing meaningful visual communications that positively impact patients, employees, and communities from anywhere within the United States.
The ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, branding, healthcare communications, and digital content creation. Candidates should possess strong design expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
The Graphic Designer will develop visually compelling digital and print materials that support BJC HealthCare’s branding, marketing campaigns, patient education initiatives, recruitment efforts, social media presence, and internal communications. The ideal candidate possesses strong creative skills, experience with healthcare or corporate branding, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
This position collaborates closely with marketing strategists, content creators, healthcare leaders, recruiters, and external vendors to produce high-quality creative assets aligned with organizational goals and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Branding
Design high-quality marketing materials including brochures, flyers, posters, presentations, infographics, banners, advertisements, signage, and email graphics.
Create engaging digital assets for websites, social media platforms, online advertising campaigns, and recruitment marketing.
Ensure all creative materials align with BJC HealthCare’s brand identity, messaging standards, and visual guidelines.
Develop creative concepts and campaign visuals that enhance patient engagement and community outreach.
Produce visual assets for healthcare awareness campaigns, employee communications, and special events.
Digital & Multimedia Content
Design responsive graphics optimized for desktop and mobile platforms.
Assist with video graphics, motion graphics, and multimedia presentations when needed.
Support user-focused visual design initiatives that improve communication clarity and accessibility.
Collaborate with web and digital marketing teams to optimize graphics for SEO and digital engagement.
Collaboration & Project Management
Partner with internal stakeholders to understand project goals, target audiences, and campaign objectives.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining design quality.
Coordinate with printers, photographers, agencies, and external vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative design ideas.
Maintain organized design files, templates, and digital asset libraries.
Quality Assurance
Review final artwork for accuracy, consistency, spelling, and formatting.
Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards and healthcare communication best practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, branding strategies, and emerging creative technologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Marketing, or related field.
2+ years of professional graphic design experience.
Strong portfolio showcasing print, digital, branding, and campaign design work.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
Experience designing for social media, web, email campaigns, and print production.
Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, composition, and branding.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, corporate communications, or agency environments.
Knowledge of UX/UI principles and responsive digital design.
Familiarity with video editing or motion graphics tools such as Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms.
Understanding of accessibility standards including ADA compliance for digital content.
