Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is a statewide organization that strives to enable Illinois soybean producers to be the most knowledgeable and profitable soybean producers in the world.

The Graphic Designer & Multimedia Manager will work on behalf of Illinois soybean farmers by creating compelling visual content that advances the mission of the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) and Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG). This position is responsible for graphic design, photography, videography, and video/photo editing that support organizational communications strategy. This role will help strengthen ISA's brand, tell the story of Illinois soybean farmers, and deliver high-quality creative assets across print, digital, social media, web, email, and video platforms.

Essential Duties:

  • Design and produce creative materials for print and digital communications; ensure all creative materials align with ISA and ISG brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Communications staff to translate complex agricultural, research, policy, and market development topics into engaging visual content.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of organizational brand assets, templates, and style guides.
  • Capture high-quality photography and video content at meetings, events, field activities, farm visits, research sites, trade shows, and industry engagements.
  • Plan and execute photo and video shoots that showcase soybean farmers, organizational initiatives, industry partnerships, and stakeholder impact.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library of photos, videos, graphics, and creative resources.
  • Edit and produce videos for social media, websites, presentations, advertising campaigns, events, and educational initiatives.
  • Create short-form and long-form video content that supports organizational priorities and storytelling efforts.
  • Add graphics, motion elements, music, captions, and branding to enhance video quality and audience engagement.
  • Assist with video strategy and content planning to maximize reach and effectiveness across communication channels.
  • Collaborate with Communications team members to support campaign development, content creation, and organizational initiatives.

Competencies

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom.
  • Experience with photography, videography, and video editing.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design and multimedia capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Capacity to make decisions and communicate with tact and professionalism.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to thrive within a rapidly changing environment.
  • Able to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and specific deliverables needed for each.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia production, or related creative work.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills.
  • An appreciation for Illinois agriculture, the Illinois Soybean Association, and the 43,000 soybean farmers we represent.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member/leader using sound judgment, a willingness to take and follow directions, an ability to handle tasks to completion, versatility, and an ability to manage multiple projects with both short and long-term deadlines.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel to our offices and to other sites around the state as needed.
