Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our printing company, 111 Sign, Inc. The ideal candidate will design and prepare artwork for a variety of print products, including brochures, packaging, banners, business cards, labels, and promotional materials. You will be responsible for creating original designs based on client briefs and brand guidelines, preparing files for print production, collaborating with sales teams, and ensuring designs translate accurately to print. As a Graphic Designer, you will also select appropriate paper stocks, proofread files for errors, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay updated on design trends and industry software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create original designs and layouts based on client briefs and brand guidelines
- Prepare and format files for print production (CMYK color mode, bleed, trim marks, resolution requirements)
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to understand client needs and revise designs based on feedback
- Work closely with prepress and production staff to ensure designs translate accurately to print
- Select appropriate paper stocks, finishes, and printing techniques to match design intent
- Proofread and quality-check files for errors before sending to print
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Stay current with design trends, printing techniques, and industry software
- Maintain organized digital archives of design files and templates
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in a print production environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of prepress requirements (color modes, bleed, DPI, file formats)
- Solid grasp of typography, layout, and color theory
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Salary & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $28,000 to $31,000 per year. Other benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
