Summary:

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Graphic Artist to provide graphic support to design and produce graphic or multimedia products for selected research products.  The SME Graphic Artist will provide support to the Office of Net Assessment (ONA) to produce a large array of graphical products that are easy to edit/modify with minimal effort.

 

This is a temporary position that is expected to last 6 months, this is also a 100% on site position. 

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • SME Graphic Artist should be able to able to lay out depictions geographically across a theater map and provide graphics of performance capabilities, laydowns and ranges on maps
  • Individual shall be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating graphics and visual content in easy to edit/modify formats
  • Individual will complete complex assignments of superior quality in selected research areas as determined by ONA
  • Artist shall adhere to customer branding and style guides and standards
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • The SME Graphics Artist will possess an understanding of how to convene complex weapons information clearly, accurately, and efficiently on military systems quantities, attributes, capabilities, and effects
  • Artist shall have expertise using primarily Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) to provide graphics support in editable formats
  • Artist shall have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products and other Microsoft Office Suite products (MS Word, MS Teams)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphics design or related visual arts/communications discipline from an accredited college or university. Alternatively, a combination of education and work history/experience may be considered for this position
  • At least five (5) years of experience in designing and delivering visual products, with at least one (1) year experience designing or producing military theater map graphics
  • Experience shall be with a government office or contracting/consulting agency or corporate public affairs office or marketing office, newspaper, magazine, web development team or advertising agency
  • Must Possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Must be willing to work full time onsite in Alexandria, VA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing and delivering visual products, with at least one year experience designing or producing military theater map graphics

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 annually.
