Description

Summary:

  • Mon-Fri 0800-1700, 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week
  • Work Mode: Hybrid- onsite 2 days/week
  • Location: 490 Illinois Street, 4th Floor, SF, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical, financial, and training activities in support of contract and grant proposal development, grant-writing, funding, administration, and budget development.
  • Engage in pre-award proposal initiatives, manage funds post-award, and conduct closeout activities for federal, state, local, and private sponsors.
  • Analyze research funding trends and sources, forecast, plan, and manage research portfolios.
  • Coordinate and develop proposals, contracts, and other agreements; review proposals to ensure institutional compliance and program success.
  • Negotiate, administer, and monitor contract and grant awards, ensuring compliance with regulations, terms, and conditions.
  • Manage financial reporting and sub award/subcontract issuance and administration.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Pre-Award Research Administration, Budget Development, and Proposal submission, especially with National Institutes of Health (NIH) applications.
  • In-depth understanding of the professional field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function.
  • Ability to analyze problems/issues of diverse scope and determine solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as a seasoned research administrator to independently develop and oversee research proposals, awards, and transactions related to contract and grant management.
  • Ability to work on complex proposals and awards involving multiple investigators and/or multiple sub awards.
  • Guidance skills for less experienced staff.
