The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring a Facility Management Contracting Officer (GCO) to join our team located in Boise, ID. The selected applicant will primarily solicit bids, contract for public works to be performed, process financial documents, and work closely with the Program Manager, District Field Representatives, Design Professionals, and various trades of contractors statewide. This position may collaborate with state and federal agencies on facility related activities, requirements and policies and work alongside internal and external stakeholders to contract for building projects throughout the state.
This position requires strong emphasis on customer service, contract administration, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a variety of audiences. The successful applicant will need exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated experience maintaining order in a fluid and vibrant environment. Facility Management Contracting Officers require the ability to coordinate with all levels of office staff, to function well in dynamic teams, and to coordinate with a wide variety of personalities and organizations.
