The College of Health Sciences (CHS) is one of ten colleges and schools at the University of Delaware that collectively hold a Carnegie R1 classification, placing it in the top 3% of all Universities in the United States for research productivity. As a dynamic, innovative academic research unit, CHS is comprised of more than 3,400 undergraduate and graduate students and 131 faculty across seven academic units that include Communication Sciences and Disorders, Epidemiology, Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences, Kinesiology and Applied Physiology (ranked #7 nationally according to the National Academy of Kinesiology), Medical and Molecular Sciences, and Physical Therapy (ranked #2 nationally by US News and World Report) and the School of Nursing. With annual research expenditures of approximately $20 million, the college currently houses a number of large, interdisciplinary grants with significant funding from federal (e.g., NIH) and foundation (e.g., American Heart Association) sponsors.
The Grants Analyst II for CHS conducts financial management tasks for all assigned sponsored research portfolios. With minimal direction, they manage proposal and budget development and oversee post-award activities such as account setup, expense tracking, and reporting. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively support faculty and staff on all sponsored project-related tasks and issues. The Grants Analyst II serves as a key resource for academic units and principal investigators (PIs) on all matters pertaining to contracts and grants.
