TITLE:  TANF Grant Program Director

DEPARTMENT: Programming

REPORTS TO: CEO

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The TANF Grant Program Director will oversee 3 assigned state grants with direct responsibility for grant compliance, budget management, program safety, program outcomes, partner relations, site monitoring, staff training, program quality, data collection, program evaluation, reporting, and strategic relationships. Outputs include serving 2,500 at-risk students. Outcomes include increasing student protective factors with 80%+ of participants, as measured through pre- and post-assessments.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

  1. Support recruitment, selection and onboarding of staff to meet grant requirements and BGCUC policies and practices.
  2. Provide ongoing feedback and regular appraisal; identify and support professional development opportunities.
  3. Lead implementation of program services as outlined in grants.
  4. Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including all required paperwork. Includes reports, breakdowns of participation figures, notable achievements and any problems/issues.
  5. Ensure timely and accurate grant reimbursements.
  6. Maintain excellent relationships with the grantors. Communicate successes and assist in resolving problems. Serve on committees or groups as requested.
  7. Ensure the evaluation of programs on a continual basis. Provide training and staff development opportunities to ensure the success and safety of the program.
  8. Ensure program budget needs are met and ensure that program operates within budget parameters.
  9. Establish relationships with subsites and ensure subsite compliance and performance.
  10. Establish program objectives and ensure program goals are obtained.
  11. Provide regular updates to management on outcomes, goals, needs, and other status updates as needed.
  12. Oversee and monitor subsites to ensure compliance with grant parameters.
  13. Increase visibility of program.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support Board committees as assigned.
  2. Support fundraisers and special events as assigned.
  3. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business administration, public administration, public education, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing grants preferred.
  • Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 preferred.
