As a part of the CDC team, our Graduate Structural Engineers have the opportunity to work on the most visible elements of the most iconic projects across the United States and around the globe.Job SummaryAt CDC, a graduate structural engineer is responsible for preparing structural calculation packages for building envelope systems, with an emphasis on glass and aluminum curtain wall systems. Graduate structural engineers apply the principals of statics and mechanics of materials to determine forces, deflections, and stresses in framing members, connections, and anchors, and compare these values against allowable limits from applicable codes and industry standards, under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE). Graduate structural engineers will also coordinate with internal and external drafting teams to implement structural design requirements into shop drawing submittals.
