Description

Summary:
The Graduate Enrollment and Academic Support Specialist oversees the execution of critical academic processes that directly influence student enrollment, persistence, and the overall educational experience. Serving as a primary point of contact within the Graduate Office, this role is dedicated to resolving student concerns with a high degree of professionalism, efficiency, and student-centered service.
Examples of Duties
- Guide students through the enrollment lifecycle via multi-channel communication (in-person, virtual, and digital), ensuring clear interpretation of university policies and procedures.
- Create and manage databases, spreadsheets, queries, and electronic communication that support the operations of the general office and registration and enrollment process.
- Inputs data into Banner and makes updates to records as needed and required
- Audit and scan student files to the central database to ensure documentation requirements and data accuracy are consistently met.
- Conduct research on historical student records to track educational progress and develop connections to campus-wide resources to enhance the student experience.
- Serves as the primary coordinator for the Accelerated Masters Pathways (AMP) initiative, managing applications, procedural compliance, and faculty liaison duties.
- Coordinates with Assistant Director for Graduate Recruitment and Student Enrollment to support recruitment efforts for up-and-coming undergraduate sophomores, juniors and seniors for the AMP initiative.
- Conducts comprehensive degree audits to ensure all graduating candidates have met departmental, institutional, and accreditation requirements for degree conferral
- Creates and edits graduate student information for commencement activities including program booklets, names cards, events and any associated graduation related activity.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, Master's degree preferred
- At least one year of work experience in higher education, student services or academic advising.
- Evening, weekend, and overnight work hours and/or travel maybe required.
