Graduate Assistant Women's Volleyball

Position Purpose

The women's volleyball graduate assistant is responsible for assisting in all aspects of a competitive women's collegiate volleyball program to include successfully organizing and implementing a recruiting/retention plan, integrating the program into the campus community, developing a vibrant summer camp program, supervising practice/contests, management of program budget, fundraising to support program and supporting student-athlete success.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in directing all aspects of the women's volleyball program including, practice, competition, fundraising. • Assist in developing and implementing an effective recruitment program, in coordination with Hiram College Admission Office, to attract outstanding student-athletes. • Adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the Hiram College Athletic Department, the NCAA • Provide guidance and support to student-athletes towards achieving their greatest potential both academically and athletically. • Monitor class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress. • Contribute to the fundraising activities for women's volleyball program. • Assist the head coach in the development and operation of a successful summer camp program. • Participate in the Annual Day with Hiram Golf Outing. • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and guests of the college Attention to detail and good time management, organizational and prioritization skills Knowledge of all NCAA Division III rules Valid Ohio Driver's License First Aid, AED & CPR certification required. Microsoft Word Excel Experience with Front Rush Proficient with all forms of social media

Experience

• Collegiate volleyball recruiting experience preferred. • Summer Camp/Club experience preferred. • Collegiate competitive experience preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree required • Acceptance into the Hiram College MAIS Graduate Program or Sports Management Graduate program required for consideration
