Summary of Job Duties:

Graduate Assistant - Leadership Academy assists the Office of Corporate and Community Education with the university's premier corporate training and professional development program, the Leadership Academy. This position is primarily administrative and clerical, supporting instructors with materials preparation and providing a high-quality experience to program participants.

This position is ideal for graduate students who have experience or an interest in teaching, training, facilitation, or program coordination and management. Applicants from any graduate program of study are welcome to apply. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education;

  • Regular admissions to a graduate degree program or good standing with the Graduate School for continuing graduate students;

  • Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance;

  • Valid driver's license.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare educational materials for Leadership Academy;

  • Assist with Leadership Academy participant assessments;

  • Attend Leadership Academy sessions at UA Little Rock Downtown to assist attendees and instructors as needed;

  • Assist instructors in maintaining accurate attendance and completion records;

  • Support instructors in adapting presentation materials as needed;

  • Assist the Director in maintaining an accurate calendar of upcoming Leadership Academy sessions;

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of Leadership Academy materials and promotional items;

  • Be accessible to colleagues through email and scheduled appointments;

  • Assist with courses at the UA Little Rock Downtown location;

  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace;

  • Ability to work without constant supervision;

  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks;

  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing;
