JOB SUMMARY

The Angell Snyder School of Business [ASSB] is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the coordination of student engagement opportunities outside of the classroom for both business majors and non-business majors. Responsibilities will primarily include development and delivery of student programming in the Robert N. Bob Bundy Accounting and Finance Program [Bundy Program] in collaboration with the Bundy Program Director. Additional responsibilities will include organization of DECA events and coordination with other ASSB institutes and campus organizations who offer student engagement opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQRUIED DUTIES OF THE JOB (provide list of items which are essential to effective outcomes in this role):

  • Assist the director with branding and development of the Bundy Program
  • Assist in organizing, marketing, and delivering program offerings on campus and in the community
  • Work with DECA [student organization] on planning, budgeting, and arranging competitions
  • Coordinate student experiences in conjunction with GAs from other ASSB institutes and campus groups/organizations
  • Collaborate with other campus departments in offering student opportunities for internships and/or other work experiences
  • Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • The graduate assistant [GA] will preferably have an undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance. The GA will be located at the Ottawa, Kansas residential campus, but may coordinate activities that involve other OU sites in Kansas, Arizona, Wisconsin, and online.
