Job Summary

Georgia College & State University (GCSU) Office of Admissions is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Student Assistant to support the tele-counselor team and assist with daily operations of the GCSU Welcome Center. This position plays a vital role in our recruiting efforts by supporting calling campaigns designed to generate applications and assisting in campus visit experiences for prospective students and their families.

Responsibilities

• Tele-Counselor Team Support • Assist with the supervision and training of undergraduate tele-counselors who contact prospective students • Monitor call quality and provide constructive feedback to improve effectiveness • Help develop call scripts and talking points for various recruitment campaigns • Track and analyze calling data to measure effectiveness and recommend improvements • Assist with scheduling and maintaining adequate staffing levels for calling campaigns

• Welcome Center Operations • Support Saturday operations of the GCSU Welcome Center • Assist with organizing and facilitating campus tours • Assist with special visit events for prospective students and families • Ensure the Welcome Center maintains a professional and welcoming environment • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for visitors with questions about GCSU

• Administrative Support • Assist with data entry and management in the admissions CRM system • Generate reports on recruitment activities and outcomes • Help maintain accurate records of prospect communications • Support various admissions events and initiatives as needed • Contribute to the development of recruitment strategies and materials

Required Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a graduate program at GCSU • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational and time management abilities • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
