Job Summary

The Graduate Administrative Assistant will work with the Director of the Reading Instruction, Support, and Education (RISE) Center to manage inventory, organize instructional materials, and support faculty, students, and administrative staff with the center¿s operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the RISE Center inventory in the Librarika Inventory System;
  • Organize the RISE Center by receiving, cataloging, and tracking instructional materials (checked in/out, used by professors);
  • Assist professors by bringing RISE Center resources to classrooms and printing and copying materials;
  • Participate in the book fair and other fundraising activities;
  • Research and recommend new instructional materials for the RISE Center;
  • Manage and record visitor check-ins and check-outs of instructional equipment and materials;
  • Perform other duties as assigned;
  • Work closely with the Director when working with students in the Center.
Required Qualifications
  • Full-time graduate student at CSU with at least credit hours;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related programs);
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask;
  • Willingness to work 19 hours per week;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, take initiative, and model appropriate behavior for students and the campus community.
Proposed Salary

The position comes with a tuition waiver except for $25, the student pays the other fees. The stipend is $2500 per semester.

Conditions of Employment
