Founded in 1859 by the Franciscan Brothers, St. Francis College (SFC) has a rich legacy of academic excellence and service. Job Summary: Reporting to the Department Chair, the Adjunct will teach in various formats, including in-person, hybrid, and online. We seek to hire candidates with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience for the successful and expanding programs included below.
Salary Range: $1,605 per credit - $1,730 per credit (Adjunct and Senior Adjunct)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses following College-approved curricula and standards. Develop and update course materials, including syllabi and assessments. Engage students through effective instruction and active learning strategies. Assess student performance and provide timely feedback. Maintain office hours as required for student support. Utilize learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) for course delivery. Adhere to academic policies and institutional guidelines. Participate in departmental meetings and professional development as needed. Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and student success. Potential Teaching Disciplines: M.S. in Management MGT-6001 Organization and Strategy - understand dynamic organizations as evolving systems through literature, case studies, and class discussions MKT-6001 Marketing for Managers - explore strategic planning, ethical issues, consumer behavior, decision-making in contemporary, customer-driven positioning strategies, and activities of the marketing mix PM-6000 Fundamentals of Project Management - learn business project management guidelines in any industry and how to address a range of project challenges through team exercise settings BAN-6001 Business Analysis for Managers - business applications of probability and statistics, forecasting techniques, and decision theory

M.S. Information Technology IT-6001 Information Systems for Management - use of planning, decision making, adequate controls, and business operations to transform business operations IT-6002 System Analysis and Design - how computer systems are analyzed and designed, analysis requirements and process, design essentials, quality assurance, and implementation IT-6003 Computer Network and Security - introduction to computer networks, applications, link, physical, network, and transport layers, cyber security threats and defenses IT-6005 Operating Systems - cover basic operating system structure, file systems and storage servers, memory management techniques, process scheduling and resource management, threads, distributed and peer-to-peer systems, and security
M.S. in Computer Science CS-6001 Programming, Data, Algorithms - programming and data structures using strings, integers, Booleans, floats, stacks, queues, and arrays CS-6002 Computer Organization Architecture - overview of CPU architecture, memory hierarchies, input/output processes, hardware components, and software interactions to execute instructions CS-6003 Algorithm Design Analysis - designing algorithms in terms of time and space that address challenges and efficiency, optimization techniques, challenges, and resource constraints CS-6004 Programming Languages - overview of SQL, Python, Java, Javascript, C++, etc. to understand language paradigms, syntax, semantics, and use in development environments CS-6006 Software Engineering - design, development, testing, methodologies, maintenance, quality assurance, and tools to deliver robust and maintainable software
Minimum Qualifications:
A masters degree from an accredited institution in a relevant academic discipline is required. Experience with online and hybrid teaching methodologies is preferred, including Canvas LMS, Microsoft Teams, and Yuja videos. Must attend the in-person Residency Program for at least three dates each semester (specific dates will be provided upon hiring). A commitment to graduate teaching and global awareness is required.
